The ruling class live in enclaves and think we live in Ghetto’s

To Expressletters@express.co.uk
In deriding IDS’s  (Iain Duncan Smith) comment’s on Ghettoisation, I feel political commentator, Nick Ross, has come close to the truth about one of the failings of many politicians.
It’s not that the underclass lives in ghetto’s but IDS’s class live in enclaves.
Safe inside their gated estates with Security Services protecting them from the rest of the Nation, they are deluded into believing that they are the majority and that their electorate enjoy the same security and world view as themselves.
Fred Forsyth voices a half-wish that one of these people, Judge Fiona Henderson, should return from holiday to find her home occupied by squatters.
I suspect that this could not happen as she would probably be housed in such an enclave, with security measures to deter the most desperate squatter groups.

Enclave-dwellers who live in safe world of their own
ROSS Clark came close to the truth about one of the majorfailings of politicians and those
with influence (“lain Duncan Smith  is deluded about cause of the riots”, September 16).
It’s not so much about the underclass living in ghettoes but the class to which the Secretary of State for Social Security belongs living in secure enclaves.
These enclave-dwellers are convinced they speak for the majority and that the electorate shares the same world view as themselves.
Frederick Forsyth voiced a half-wish that one of these people, Judge Fiona Henderson, who has decreed that squatters could be good for us all, should return from holiday to find her home occupied by squatters (“A case for new judge’s lodgings”, September 16).
I suspect this will not happen but it would be interesting to hear her response if it did.John Shale, Wigan, Lancs
